Cannabis and Cyclobenzaprine

If you’re someone who uses Flexeril, or cyclobenzaprine, you’re not alone.  It can increase the side effects though, including issues with thinking, dizziness, and also confusion, along with concentration issues. Some of the main side effects of this can include a tiredness and headache, dry mouth, dizziness, and other harmful side effects, which ca increase if you do take this along with utilizing cannabis 

What cyclobenzaprine is? 

This is basically the name for Flexeril along with Amrix. This is a class of different medicines that are usually known as skeletal muscle relaxers. This is used in a lot of cases when you’re trying to mitigate the use of muscle spasms that do happen within your musculoskeletal system. This is also good for those that have these spasms that occur in a very sudden manner. 

Most of the time, Flexeril is prescribed to a lot of people while they get physical therapy, resting, or other ways to help with the discomfort and the pain that happens due to strains, sprains, or other injuries that impact the muscle. You cannot use this one for cerebral palsy, or for other severe issues that cause muscle spasms. 

The risks and Benefits 

This does have some benefits and drawbacks that are worth mentioning for a lot of people who do deal with this. The first is that it does help with injuries from sports, along with spasms from muscles that happened due to other injuries. 

It can also help with the fatigue and headache, which are two of the most common types of side effects, and medical cannabis can help with improving the symptoms of this, making it easier for you to use this. As for the drawbacks, it basically happens when you do combine the muscle relaxers with the cannabis compounds. It can sometimes make the effects that are very sedative a whole lot worse when you combine both cannabis with the cyclobenzaprine that’s there. 

Another thing is that the side effects can get exacerbated, so you may be at risk for more fatigue, dizziness, along with dry mouth, especially if you’re using both of these compounds a lot. 

While it won’t be deadly per se, some people do report that the side effects are much stronger so you may be more tired, to the point of it being extreme, can cause headaches that are even worse, along with a dizziness that impacts balance, and it can also impact dry mouth. You may want to use this to also reduce the dependence of the muscle relaxers though, since if your using this to improve the sedative effects of this, it’s one of the best ways to improve this as well. 

Cautions of mixing muscle Relaxers and weed 

It’s important to understand that muscle relaxants come in a lot of categories, including diazepam, and other types of benzos, which can impact the CNS, depressing it in some cases. Sometimes, this can sometimes cause your breathing to reduce, and you may notice it get slower. In some serious circumstances, you scan die. 

That’s why is you plan to combine these, two, talk to a doctor to figure this out.  You may also want to avoid taking this if you take other types of depressants for the CNS such as alcohol and the opioids, and also if you’re taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors, which can cause life-threatening results. 

Either way, it’s best that, with something like this, you always consult a doctor on this. That’s because they can cause bad side effects, and you don’t want to be on the receiving end of something really bad down the line.
